About Elite Sports Coaching Clinics
Elite Sports coaching clinics was founded by Brett McNamee and James Bateson in 2008. Elite Sports provide fun enjoyable sessions for all abilities, focusing on core skills and knowledge of the game as well as implementing the values of team work and sportsmanship.
Brett McNamee, as a current professional rugby player has a great deal of elite sports performance and coaching experience. As a former Ireland U19 and U21 captain with Guinness premiership experience, Brett was pivotal in establishing Elite Rugby Coaching Clinics and using his insight into the world of professional sport to coach and assist the children exceed their rugby potential. Brett is a current RFU Level 2 coach.
James Bateson, is currently the Head of Boys Sport at Chesham Preparatory School and runs a very successful multi sport activity camp. James provides Elite Rugby with experience and knowledge accumulated from many years as a successful sport teacher with continuing success and development in all of his teams. James attributes are invaluable to Elite Rugby Coaching Camps. James is a current RFU Level 2 coach.
About the Camp
The camps have been designed for boys and girls aged between under 7 – under 13 to assist in developing skills and knowledge of the game. Emphasis will be placed on individual and positional skills as well as team skills. We welcome all abilities and ensure that the children are split into groups to ensure maximum enjoyment and development. On Friday there will be a presentation for all children. In addition there will be special guest visits during the camp. Elite Sports strive on the fun and enjoyment factor and will ensure that this 2 day camp will have great memories.
Coaching Staff
All our coaches are a combination of Professional Sportsmen and women, professional coaches and teachers so be rest assured the children will receive some of the best coaching available and specific specialist coaching to specific positions. All coaches on the Elite Sports camp have a minimum level one coaching qualification, however the majority will either be Level 2 or above. All have been CRB checked and there will always be a minimum of three First aiders at any stage during the course.
What to Bring
You'll need:
- Sports kit suitable for all weathers including a change of clothes.
- For rugby, a gum shield, trainers, rugby/football boots. Hockey, a gum shield, shin pads and hockey sticks will be provided but we understand the children have their preferred hockey sticks. Netball, clothing and shoes for indoors and outdoors. .
- Packed Lunch and a refillable drinks bottle each day
